residential-Quincho 55 m²
This project for a Paraguayan doctor involves a very spacious quincho (approx. 8.20 x 6.70 m) of solid construction, which was to be integrated into a plot of land in Villarrica that had already been developed for decades and architecturally adapted accordingly.
Due to the open design on three sides, the building loads must be transferred entirely through the columns to the foundations, requiring careful foundation work and appropriate structural engineering.

In addition to the exposed brickwork, the design and correct execution of the segmental arch structures presented a further challenge. The reinforcement and the concealed upper ring beam are connected to the load-bearing columns.

After completion of the masonry work, the roof structure made of steel profiles and chapa was adapted and painted.

Now work could continue even in the rain. This was followed by the complete rebuilding of the kitchen and the renovation of the asado grill. The lighting and ventilation systems, including all switches, were installed, and as a finishing touch, all wall surfaces were sealed with a protective coating, and the tiling work was completed both inside and out.

This structure is not only an extension of living space, an outdoor kitchen and a party location, but also serves as a carport and thus represents an enormous enrichment for the entire family of builders.
